Ask a questionWhat does Aurelian Freight LLC do?
We coordinate international logistics and trade operations: product sourcing, warehouse handling, freight coordination, documentation support, and delivery planning for Argentina and the LATAM corridor. We act as your operational bridge between international suppliers and your destination.
How much does shipping from China to Argentina cost?
Sea freight LCL: USD 200-400 per m3. Sea freight FCL (20ft): USD 1,800-2,800. Sea freight FCL (40ft): USD 2,800-4,500. Air freight: USD 5-10 per kg. Transit: 35-45 days by sea, 7-15 days by air. Final pricing depends on season, carrier, and cargo specifics. We provide exact quotes after reviewing your shipment details.
What import taxes apply in Argentina?
Import duties range from 0% to 35% depending on product type (average ~14%). Additional costs: Statistical tax 3%, VAT 21%, VAT perception 20%, Income tax perception 6%, and provincial gross income tax 1-5%. As a rule of thumb, the landed cost is roughly 1.8-2.0x the FOB value for products with a 20% tariff. We calculate the full cost before you ship.
What shipping methods do you offer?
Courier/Express (DHL, FedEx, UPS): up to USD 3,000 and 50 kg, 7-15 days. Air freight consolidated: 5-10 USD/kg, 10-20 days. Sea freight LCL/FCL: most cost-effective for volumes over 1 m3, 35-60 days. We help you choose based on product, urgency, and budget.
What documents do I need to import into Argentina?
Commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading (sea) or Air Waybill (air), DJAI approval, and your CUIT registered with ARCA. Product-specific certifications may be required (SENASA for food, ANMAT for medical devices, INTI for electronics). We coordinate all documentation.
Do you handle customs brokerage?
We support import documentation and process coordination. When licensed brokerage is required, we work with licensed customs brokers in Argentina. You deal with one point of contact — we manage the rest.
How long does the full process take?
End-to-end from supplier to Argentina: 45-60 days (sea), 7-15 days (air/courier). Customs clearance: 1-3 days green channel, 5-15 days orange/red channel. Timelines assume correct documentation.
Can I import from the US and Europe, not just China?
Yes. We coordinate from the US (sea LCL USD 150-300/m3, 30-40 days), Europe (25-35 days by sea), and intra-Mercosur. We also offer US warehouse consolidation in Miami.
What is the difference between courier and commercial import in Argentina?
Courier: up to USD 3,000 per shipment, 50 kg max, flat 50% tax on excess over USD 400 exemption, 5 shipments/year, no customs broker needed. Commercial: no value/weight limits, requires customs broker, multiple taxes, but much cheaper per unit for volumes over USD 3,000. We help you pick the right route.
